Cockpit Management and data logging system - COMAND for shorter - is an integrated audio, data and telematics system for all audio and telematics functions on Mercedes Benz vehicles and comes with a dedicated rear LCD screen. It is designed to cater to the unique needs of luxury class cars such as the S class, E-Class, A class and LUV cars of the latest generation. The entire system is incorporated into a single, compact console that can be used simultaneously by any user, irrespective of his previous experience with Cockpit Management systems. Its key features include vehicle-specific key fob controls, namely speed, brake, regeneration and other driving related options; vehicle specific accessory audio system featuring subwoofers, amplifiers and speakers; front head unit including volume, tuning, speaker level and bass boost knobs; roof mounted access door radio; CD/DVD stereo head units with CD changer and headphone jacks; GPS navigation system; touch screen digital instrument control with voice recognition option; comprehensive safety system including air bags, seat belts, EGR, automatic restraint system and locking car alarms. The complete system also allows easy access to vital information like oil pressure, voltage, fuel type, coolant levels and steering locking.

The entire system was first showcased at the prestigious Detroit Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan in January 2021. During the test drive day, it proved to be an extremely practical, user-friendly and robust unit. The command was modified to include a new front bow mount. This meant that the entire mounting assembly could be changed without having to drill any hole in the Jeep's front bow.

The first software update came a few months later. This time it was meant to make it easier for the user to select different parameter settings for the comand system. After testing this out on a handful of models, it was decided to include voice activation as a function. With the Voice Activated comand, when the driver uses their voice to talk to the system, they get immediate assistance. The voice recognition is working very well and is soon to be available on all models.

In mid-2021, the Mercedes-Benz MBux company introduced a brand new model year. Unlike previous years, when it had come with its own operating system, this year's model year used the Windows operating platform. Users were very happy with the overall user experience and the added functionality. A new touchpad controller with larger buttons made it easier to use the comand. This made it even easier for the parent to use it as well.

For this year, it is anticipated that the Mercedes-Benz MBux company will release new Mercedes Benz E Class and S Class models with Microsoft's Windows operating systems. Users have been expecting this announcement for quite some time now. Not only is the operating system new but it has been developed by one of the world's top software companies. It will support a wide range of hardware devices. Users can expect great features such as:

- The comand will also support the Microsoft XML web navigation system. This was previously available only to the previous S class vehicles. In case you have virtually any issues with regards to exactly where in addition to the best way to employ linked web site, you are able to contact us from our own web site. With the addition of the comand, users will be able to enjoy navigation throughout their vehicle using the web interface. This includes the voice activation function, touch pad controller and the standard Microsoft display screen. The display screen offers a number of functions such as:

- You can also expect the new vehicles to include a standard Microsoft steering wheel control. This controls the volume and the navigation system of the S class. This is an integration that has been in the works for quite some time now. The new vehicles will also feature an audio visual system that allows the passengers to interact with the internet using Bluetooth. The system will allow passengers to access the internet anywhere in the cabin. Another new feature is the infotainment system which allows passengers to access information about the destination and the status of the vehicle through touch screens or through the audio speakers.

- The comand has the ability to communicate with the server through the portable MLPC connection and MMC card. The server will allow the comand to use the MMC card for additional features such as controlling operation processes of the car. In the event of power loss or a power outage, the command management interface will allow the driver to enter a specific shutdown code. This is in contrast to the previous operating system which required the driver to enter a different shutdown code to bring down the system. Other features such as the MMC card interface and the radio receivers can reduce the total cost of ownership of the Comand.
