Troubleshooting
Alfalfa is a simple to grow seed that should germinate in 2 to 6 days. If seeds don't sprout within this time frame Here are some possibilities of what could have gone wrong:

Too dry. Seeds require water to grow. Alfalfa seeds absorb about 50% of their weight in water prior to they germinate, which makes them appear to be swelling. Seeds that are too dry won't germinate. Make sure to add more water to your plate until the seeds are wet but not floating. You could also soak the seeds over night; but ensure that you drain and wash them in fresh water before spreading them onto the towel.

Too wet:If the seeds are moist, بذور جرجير their new roots and shoots could rot before they have a chance to grow. It's also possible that mould will start to develop around the seeds. It's fine for the paper towel to be wet however the seeds should not be floating in water. Drain excess water from the plate every time you mist or water your seeds.

Too cold or hot: Alfalfa grows best when temperatures are between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. If you're cultivating your seeds indoors in winter, place them in a warm area. If you're growing your seeds in very hot temperatures, you may have to water your seeds more often because they'll dry out quicker.
