Watching seeds germinate is fantastic activity for kids and parents, particularly when seeds sprout quickly. Alfalfa ( Medicago the sativa) is a simple to cultivate seed that will grow in about a week. Sprinkle a little amount of alfalfa seeds over a damp newspaper towel and watch it grow and germinate.

You'll require:
A package of Alfalfa seed (about 1.5g).
A small or بذور برسيم مصري small dish, or a saucer
Three pieces of paper towels
A spray mister , or a small water container

How to Grow:
Put 3 sheets of paper towel on a plate.
Remove the water from the plate. The paper towel should be damp however the seeds must not be floating in water.
Sprinkle the seeds thickly onto the towel.
Put the paper towel on a sunny window with water to stop the towel from drying. To wet seeds you can use a spray bottle or mister to do so. Add water into the saucer using either a cup or a small jug.
Make sure to check your seeds each day to observe how they're growing.

Troubleshooting
Alfalfa seed is easy to cultivate and بذور برسيم مصري should begin to sprout within 2 to 6 days. Here are some signs to keep an eye on in the event that your seeds do not germinate in this period.

Too dry. Seeds require water to grow. Alfalfa seeds absorb about half their weight in water prior to they germinate. This makes them appear to be swollen. Seeds that aren't dry enough will not grow. Add more water to the plate to make sure that the seeds are moist, but not floating on the surface. You could also soak your seeds for a few hours. Just make sure to drain them and rinse them thoroughly before transferring them to a towel.

Too wet: Seeds that are too moist could cause their roots and sprouts to turn brown before they develop. The seeds may also become moldy. It's okay for the paper towel to get wet, but the seeds shouldn't be floating in water. Every time you mist or water the seeds, rinse off any excess water.

Too hot or cold: The best temperature for alfalfa's growth is 20-25 degrees Celsius. If you're cultivating your seeds indoors in winter, place them in a cool area. If you are growing your seeds in very warm temperatures, you might need to water your seeds more frequently since they'll dry out more quickly.
